This test equipment is intended to assess the resistance of elastics to repeated stretching (fatigue) to the limit of its useful extension both before and after an artificial ageing treatment.
The test method is mainly applicable to elasticated fabrics but can be used to assess any extensible material.
A specimen of the elastic is repeatedly stretched to the limit of its useful extension and any resulting damage is regularly assessed subjectively. The test is stopped when either a set number of cycles has been reached of the damage to the test specimen has exceeded a predetermined level.
All moving parts requiring access are protected by a fully interlocked safety guard ensurig that the machine is conforms to the European latest safety regulations.
