Determine the likelihood of structrural or visually unacceptable damage occuring to the heel of a sole unit due to cyclic compression. The test is applicable to all types of cellular sole unit, heel assembly or sheet material.
A test specimen is repeatedly compressed, at a constant rate, by a defined maximum force.
After a fixed number of cycles (usually 500.000)the test is stopped and the test specimen is assessed visually for signs of damage.
The machine is fitted with two stations and the compression force can be selected through a switch, in the equivalent to children, lady or man weight.
