This instrument is employed to verify water permeability limit in different materials; to establish the minimum pressure that induces the passage of water through the specimen and to establish the time of impermeability under a known pressure.
The “Water Proof” is employed to test quickly and sharply fabrics, as technical fabric, non woven, coated, innovative fabrics, etc, resistance to water penetrations, using both dynamic method (EN ISO 20811 Standard) and static method (UNI 5123 standard).
Standard test area is 100 cm². Other optional available test areas are 10 cm², 26 cm² and 28 cm² for test with small surfaces samples, tests on sample surfaces after abrasion of small test areas.
The instrument is equipped with a touch screen display. It shows all info and allows to manages all selectable data of each test. With an optional printer it is possible print a report of each test on a paper strip.
The electronic device PLC stores all test results; with an optional software it is possible export data to Excel for further statistical information.
The max pressure reached of the column of water at the moment in which appear first water drops on fabric surface is retained and shown on display.
Instrument allows to measure the pressure of 10 m of a water column with a precision of 1 mm.
