This is a special version of the standard Instant Lastometer STD 190 provided with an extended frame so that an effective throat distance of 15 in (38 cm) is obtained. This extended throat makes it possible to make lastometer tests over the whole surface of most skins without the need to roll the leathers. The operating principle is identical to that of the standard instrument but a food-operated valve is provided for actuation thus leaving the hands free to manipulate the skin within the clamping area.
The lastometer operates from a normal factory air line of 60 – 80 psi. It is recommended that a filter/lubricator be provided at the supply point and we can supply this as an optional extra if desired.
